How to identify an argument type? On the hermeneutics of persuasive discourse

This paper proposes a theory of interpreting argument types as an integral part systematic and comprehensive ‘hermeneutics persuasive discourse’. It first explains how such hermeneutics can be developed based on pragmatic insights about the use language for purposes expressed in philosophy argument. Then, after having provided overview main hermeneutical stages involved discourse, focuses stage type identification. formulates type’ terms Periodic Table Arguments (PTA), categorization framework systematizing existing accounts arguments broad sense term (topoi, loci, schemes, fallacies, means persuasion). For each three parameters within this framework, ‘argument form’, substance’, lever’, describes to determine their value by analyzing several examples natural arguments.
